Note The PWR (pin 9) and GND (pin 13) connections supply +5 V through

current limiting resistors. This reduces the available voltage with

significant current draw.

Consult your Cognex software documentation for a description of the software interface

for the MVS-8100C’s external I/O connections.

Trigger Input

The trigger input is used to initiate the acquisition of an image from the selected camera

port. Four pairs of connections (TRIGn+ and TRIGn–) provide optically isolated trigger

inputs. To activate a trigger, between 4 V and 13 V must be applied to the terminals. If

your Cognex software package supports it, the trigger’s active polarity state can be

programmable via software.
